This passionate baker is a jewelry designer by trade. Her jewelry collections have been sold at Barneys, Bergdorf Goodman, Browns of London, Kate Spade, Takashimaya, Kentshire Galleries, and Blue Tree NYC. Zabar was also a jewelry stylist for Sex and the City. She also was a lecturer at the American Society of Jewelry Historians and at the Period Gems and Antique Jewelry Conference. Her jewelry has been included in several exhibitions, including the American Museum of Natural History’s Gold! show and the National Jewelry Institute at the Forbes Museum. Her Sex and the City signature bracelet was recently acquired for the permanent collection of the National Museum of American History at the Smithsonian Institution.
Zabar, who attended the French Culinary Institute, is the author of One Sweet Cookie, Chocolate Chip Sweets, Cakes I Have Loved, Charmed Bracelets, and Best Loved Baby Names; the co- author of Flowers for the Home: Inspirations from the World Over by Prudence Designs, and the co- editor of Sarabeth’s Bakery and Sarabeth’s Good Morning Cookbook. She has written and edited books for Rizzoli Publications, Stewart, Tabori & Change, MQ Publications, and Spruce/Octopus. Zabar has lectured and taught at the 92nd Street Y and Macy’s, run culinary tours in Italy, and been featured on numerous television and radio shows. She is a NYC food influencer with her cookbook/recipe blog for Zabar’s and Company.
